Grants

How to apply:

1. Complete the online form under Grants - APPLY

2. Documentation Required

Once we assess disease rarity, we will email you (please check junk email) requesting:

a Copy of child's birth certificate 

b Evidence of citizenship, or residency of at least five years including birth certificate, colour copy of Medicare card and passport

c A current quote for the product or service being requested, from an Australian Supplier in Australian Dollars

d Tax returns and payslips for all income earners in the household

e National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan

3. Medical Specialist Recommendation

We will email your Medical Specialist (not GP or therapist). Please make sure they know you are applying and they need to complete a short form linked in that email where they endorse your application and confirm the disease is rare. Please ask them to check their junk mail as some servers redirect emails.

4. Grant Assessment

After you have provided all requested documents, your application will be assessed and presented to our committees.

5. Outcome Notification

You will be emailed the outcome of your application within 12 weeks after the end of each grant round in March, June or September.
